    Class TagesschauClient

    Index
    • The news feed, optionally filtered by region(s) or by Ressort — not both: the API applies the Ressort and silently ignores the regions, so the combination is rejected with a TagesschauValidationError before any request. date (YYMMDD) is the page cursor the API puts into nextPage; pass it to fetch that older page. Each region must be one of RegionValues and the ressort one of RessortValues (regionProblem / ressortProblem): the API does not reject an unknown value, so anything else is a TagesschauValidationError before any request. So is an unknown key (region, Ressort) and a regions that is not an array: the API ignores what it doesn't know and answers with the unfiltered feed.

      Parameters

      Returns Promise<NewsResult>

    • Full-text search across articles. The search text is normalised to NFKC before sending: the API finds nothing for a decomposed umlaut ("Ko" + U+0308, as pasted from macOS file names or PDFs), which looks identical to the composed "Köln" with hundreds of hits; NFKC also folds fullwidth digits and ligatures.

A blank or missing search text (searchTextProblem) is rejected with a TagesschauValidationError before any request: upstream answers an empty one with HTTP 400 and runs a whitespace-only one as is. So is a pageSize outside 1..MAX_SEARCH_INT or a resultPage outside 0..MAX_SEARCH_INT (integers only; pageSizeProblem / resultPageProblem), and an unknown key (page, query).

      Parameters

      Returns Promise<SearchResult>
